Stig’s extensive knowledge and practical experience with breathing is the foundation of a unique concept, which connects the body-mind-soul and gives a new approach to health and performance. He works in water safety and is currently helping a team develop a scientific ‘Preventative Safety Protocol’ for freediving.

You might have seen him on Australian 60 Minutes when he completed his Guinness World Record of 22 minutes under ice:

Stig wrote Træk Vejret – mere energi, mindre stress (2009), published in English in 2010 as Breatheology – The Art of Conscious Breathing.

Stig Severinsen

He founded Breathology and proposes that through working with the breath, a link can be created between body and mind that enables a person to control stress, increase energy, perform better physically and mentally, alleviate pain and improve health.
